General Description
Full Name CLOCA Integrated Watershed Monitoring Program - Aquatic Integrated Monitoring Stations
Abstract The Integrated Monitoring Program includes 36 long-term aquatic monitoring locations. These sites are used to track changes in stream health over time. At each location, three ecological attributes are measured as proxies for stream health: fish and benthic invertebrate communities and water quality. Sites were selected to be evenly distributed across the CLOCA jurisdiction while considering relative representation within watershed boundaries, stream order, and varying amounts of anthropogenic stressors. CLOCA does monitor additional aquatic sites part of different projects that tend to be shorter in duration and more specific to one of the ecological attributes.
