Abstract
|
For the purpose of administering Part VI of the Conservation Authorities Act and Ontario Regulation 41/24, the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority’s (CLOCA) Regulated Area Limit (also known as Regulation Limit) is created by combining CLOCA’s Hazard Area with Regulation Allowance, with the regulation limit areas of ELC Wetlands and MNR Wetlands. Note that wetlands are no longer limited by area size and MNR wetlands now include unevaluated types. As wetlands are under review by Planning and Natural Heritage staff throughout the year, updates are made to CLOCA’s spatial data as required. Planning, Natural Heritage and Engineering staff are also required to re-evaluate the Wetlands Reductions layers during the review phase of each yearly update of the Regulated Area Limit mapping pursuant to the requirements of Ontario Regulation 41/24 and in order to ensure that the layers are still applicable and that there have been no additional additions or reductions.
