Abstract
|
An Issue Contributing Area, as defined in the Clean Water Act, 2006 Technical Rules, is a chemical or pathogen contaminant detected at a well or surface water intake that, at current or predicted future concentrations, may result in a deterioration of source water quality. An Issue Contributing Area is delineated around each well and intake where an Issue(s) has been identified and is stored in this layer. This is the area where modeling has shown that land-use activities or site conditions may contribute to the identified Issue, and where corresponding policies may apply in the related Source Protection Plan.
This dataset is part of Drinking Water Source Protection (DWSP). Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA) and Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) are partners comprising the Mississippi-Rideau Source Protection Region - https://www.mrsourcewater.ca/en/
